Full time baker
Full time Junior Baker
Portside Bakery is hiring a full-time Junior Baker to join our small artisan production team.
This role is ideal for someone with some professional kitchen or bakery experience who wants to deepen their craft and grow into a skilled artisan baker. You’ll work alongside experienced bakers and gain hands-on training in bread production, fermentation, shaping, and oven work.
What You’ll Do
• Assist with mixing and scaling doughs
• Learn to shape high-hydration artisan breads
• Assist with lamination and pastry production
• Support deck oven bakes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented production environment
What We’re Looking For
• 1+ year professional kitchen or bakery experience preferred
• Interest in artisan bread and pastry production
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
• Strong reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
• $20–$24/hour DOE

Part time Prep Cook
Portside Bakery is hiring for a reliable and detail-oriented part-time prep cook to support our production team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in organization and consistency, and wants to be part of a tight-knit, hardworking team.
What You’ll Do
Prepare ingredients for daily production (weighing, scaling, portioning)
Assist with basic dough and pastry prep
Slice, portion, and organize ingredients for baked goods
Maintain a clean and organized prep and kitchen space
Wash dishes and keep production tools flowing smoothly
Support bakers with general tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience working as a prep cook
Strong knife skills
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Comfortable with early morning shifts and/or weekend availability
Schedule & Benefits
$20–$24/hour DOE
Part-time: ~15–25 hours per week
